Candidate for Vancity Board of Directors

I am running for the Board of Directors of Vancity Credit Union. With $25.6 billion in assets plus assets under administration, Vancity is Canada’s largest community credit union.

I am a longshot as I am not part of the ‘establishment’ and despite vast experience and skills that would benefit a world class organization like Vancity I was not selected as a ‘RECOMMENDED’ Candidate in the upcoming election.

Consider that for a moment — I put my name forward as a Candidate but I must ‘pass’ an interview to determine my fitness to run! So much for democracy and not believing the members are educated enough to decide for themselves.

The selected special recommended candidates include 2 incumbents (perhaps reasonable), a previous employee, a realtor and the GM of a competing credit union — What?

If you are a member of Vancity Credit Union you are eligible to vote in this upcoming election. I am putting my appllication on this site and you can judge my global credentials for yourselves.
